They're brave to post that demo several weeks before actually opening for business - it's amazing how quickly other companies in the space can move, and it gives them several weeks to incorporate similar features into their own offerings...

I don't know if I would call it brave or not -- it did seem to us the logical thing to do. We have been testing the technology behind Zude for some time now as well as its usability with a number of users with varying experience levels (grandmas and gurus and everyone in between). We think we're ready to ratchet it up to the next level -- invite the general public in. It won't be perfect and we'll probably pull some of our hair out. But the end result will ultimately be a better product for all.

As for the "amazingly quick part" -- MySpace is not based on technology -- it is a cool application BUILT on technology. Same with Friendster, Beebo, Youtube, and a most of the rest. Zude is all about technology -- so much so that if we've done our job right the technology is completely transparent to the end user -- it just works in really cools, fast, and easy ways. And we like a good challenge -- we are a technological moving target. We will always strive to make it better, faster, easier, more flexible, more powerful, and more. We will NEVER be done...I say, "let the competition try and keep up -- and the entire Internet community will benefit from the efforts of all the talented developers and their products in the space!"

Looks like most of the features in zude.com are copied right out of players like netvibes.com, yourminis.com, pageflakes.com and zcubes.com (several from this one). Not sure if there is something brave about it!

It seems odd that you would make a statement like: "Looks like most of the features in zude.com are copied..." before we've released the product or even a feature list! Even so, it is this very skepticism that we hope will bring you to Zude to see for yourself.

What a joke. Good intent. Bad execution. Your alpha/beta is a joke. Pathetic interface and crude implementation. Moving a bunch of div's and generating it through javascript has been around since 1999, and is not considered as a technology you can drum on.

The problem is not that you have copied technology, you seem to be copying taglines, trademarks, marketing material, etc. from others. Look at other comments in the internet. There are players light years ahead of you in technology, but they are atleast original. I would bet on them in anycase.

Zude is dead right of the gate.

It is even more amazing that how badly they failed at there so called mega release. What a pity....
