Nothing Good Drops Anymore... Nothing Average or Bad Either
Mike Writes:
Hey Frank- What the heck is going on with the .info drops today?!? Just recieved this email from Pool:
"Dear XXXX,
As you may know, today's .INFO drop was expected to be quite large with great domains becoming available for public registration. Please be informed that the .INFO registry, Afilias, has placed a hold on selected domains. Consequently, most of the more popular .INFO domains expected to delete today will not be released in today's drop. Please note we will keep you updated on the status of these domains as we receive new information from Afilias.
If you have any questions, please contact our customer service team by email at service@pool.com or by phone at +1-613-221-1210.
Best regards,
The Pool.com Team

Sad reality I suppose.. there were some terrific names in that list.. Even I had some in "my" list and I never chase .info's .. If anyone at the registry wants to drop an anonymous tattler in comments, your secret is safe with me :)
Welp.. With all the auction money I'm saving, I might as well hit ebaymotors.com for a bid on John Schneiders General Lee.
I have had a few quality .info names since 2003 and all of a sudden I'm seeing a strange spike in anonymous purchase inquiries! Make of it what you may but it sure feels out of place.

I, too, don't pay much attention to the dot info domains, but there are some good ones still out there that are available--if you use alternative methods of buying those domains (expired or not).
***FS*** Based solely on Fabulous' new sales system I'm rethinking the best of these.
