...So do I of course - but I'd like to add the caveat that you be thoughtful in your registrations and avoid deliberately impugning the intellectual property rights of others..
Not sure I like their headline however.. The term "Black Market" implies something sinister. How about buying a Television or Radio station and being told you just paid the owner the "black market" price for their airwaves? The FTC charges an annual fee (analogous to your domain name renewal fees) but you will never succeed in securing the rights to those airwaves at registration price when several parties want to broadcast there. This line raised my eyebrows as well:
Quote: ""..It’s now disheartening to see smart kids make lots of money by adding a .com suffix and selling them on the Internet.""
You can be sure this chump wouldn't feel so disheartened if those 'kids' lost their shirts by taking a bold entrepreneurial risk. What a terribly sad existence when you can't be happy for somebody who became successful by buying a thing which everyone else had an equal opportunity to buy.
Surprisingly, everything else in the piece is quite positive. I firmly believe there are plenty of millionaires to be minted in this space yet, so as the closing line says; Go for it! :)
