***FS*** Looks like Omar is raising some money for a side venture (I think I know what for).. liquidating some really decent gems.. and cheaper than the TRAFFIC auctions or Snapnames by the look of it. Bet you most of them sell. LicensePlates.com is my personal fav. I wonder what (if anything) he hasn't listed to cross the block.. Might be worth tempting him with a note to see what he's holding back. I haven't done so myself .. will let readers go first.

Nice names I like sweatpants.com out of the bunch. Good for like a nike, puma, adidias, or just any old sports clothing firm. I think you probably only have to sell an extra 5 pairs of sweatpants a day for 1 year to break even on that one.
resume.com goes for 300k on afteric.. wow, see below.
I think a few million dollar sales will happen in the next few weeks.

Interesting group of names yet, outside of say 2 or 3, I don't see the underlying value. Tell me Frank, how do you think licenseplates.com can recoup such a heavy front end investment as I don't see it?
***FS*** I look at things in such a rudimentary way.. Go to your local mall on a sunday and look at the guy selling novelty license plates from a little kiosk. That one kiosk cost more than 25k.. in "one" mall.. Think of all the other malls , all the folks you can reach.,. The name is a huge search-term.. massive really.. check the Overture rank (dated but relevant). This is a huge name. And that's just if you use it for that novelty plate industry.. There's a "reporting bad drivers site" you could build.. Or making license plates in china for assorted Govt's and states around the world.. The list goes on.. and with that name, "the traffic goes on".. Money in the bank.. Okay, I wish I would have just kept this thought in my head now .. delete delete delete. :)

Dear Frank, regarding your above comment... Am I mistaken in thinking that your *valuing* process also relies quite a bit on the potential business behind a name? If so, this is a welcome surprise as it represents an extrapolation that involves development. You are basically seeing a final product in the hands of the right owner. This is a departure from valuing names only for their present cash flow. You are actually discounting net future value, in a way (a difficult endeavor probably as sales projections may be far from perfect).
In the past, I read many times your conception of "following the cash flow", however, as a more mature domainer it seems you are adding a whole new twist to what domains may really mean (websites).
***FS*** That's the trouble with text communication Robert.. I risk becoming a two dimensional entity only interested in one thing or another.. Truth is.. everything counts.. but there are priorities.. 1) generic intent traffic, 2) brandability, merchandizability [is that a word?], radio voice appeal 3) resale .. it goes on and the order of importance varies depending on the class of name.. but yes, I look at everything.. and I still don't invest in mobi's tv's or IDN's. :) Just me tho

CIS.com - $50k !! = http://www.cis.co.uk/ Co-operative Insurance Society (CIS) and The Co-operative Bank / I know this company & they will not see the opportunity, run by endless committees.
If I was bidding I would check out the TM.
***FS*** There are lots of "CIS" groups, oraganizations in the world with 50k burning a hole in their pocket. Those are two of my family members 'initials' as well. I might buy it.

Yoyos.com is also a big winner at anywhere near the 20k minimum...it's got to be a 10 million/year international market. Shoot--the big $$$ savings & earnings on SEO/paid search would pay for this one in just a few weeks or so...
...and Resume.com at 300K? Worth every penny w/proper development....and again; SEO/paid search benefits alone would pay for it in a year or less...
Looks like it may be time to raise the prices on MiniResume/s.com... :-)

As an aside, digitalcameras.com is for sale on dnforum with a BIN of 1.3 million

Frank,
I think you are right on the money with CIS.com. The domain gets about 15,000 to 30,000 monthly type-ins.
Also, of all the names in the auction, Tai.com has the most bids so far. Go figure. :))
