Moving House

Hurricane_ivan3 years ago our home was creamed by Hurricane Ivan and we've been living in compromise accommodations ever since..  Beautiful; compromise mind you,  but not our dream.  We began work on the dream digs about 2.5 years ago and it is nearly complete.  I will be moving over the next week so if you find traffic here light, picture yours-truly unpacking bazillions of nick-knacks, looking after last minute home trimmings, going through little problems and getting reacquainted with duct-tape.

This was a wonderful experience for us..  Really looking forward to sleeping in my own bed and having some space again.

Hi Frank,

I am not sure what would be worse, the hurricane or the moving??

Any time my family has moved in the past it looks like a hurricane has gone through the house. LOL

Anyway I wish you well with the move & say hi to the duck tape for me!

Regards

Welcome back, Frank. Good luck with the move.

Best of luck in your new home Frank.

Hi Frank,

I wanted to get your thoughts on the following article that appeared in the business section of the Los Angele Times today.

"Non-English domain names to be tested"

http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-internet5oct05,1,6123676.story?coll=la-headlines-business&ctrack=2&cset=true

I heard from a friend of mine at Verisign that he has already fielded several calls from concerned customers, most of whom are trademark holders. The fact that ICANN has established a 24-hour hot line in the event there is a disruption to "other domains like .com",causes me to take pause.I haven't really noodled on this long enough to have a strong opinion either way, since something like this could actually lead to huge opportunities, but as a domainer who usually enjoys the status quo, I find myself a little concerned.

By the way, look for rebates.com to launch by this holiday season. My partners and I are developing what we hope will be quite a value proposition for consumers.

All the best,

David
