I think you will find that the New TLD policy at ICANN will allow just about anything that can be seen to address a legitimate need without violating the Intellectual Property Rights of others.

I am not sure there is a big call for these extension, but I feel they will be allowed.

All strikes me, however, as a lot of introspective navel gazing, when the really big developments in the Industry are passing by almost completely unrecognised.

***FS*** Let them come.. the more new extensions that come and the more distractions / side shows that happen - the more valuable the .com extension becomes.
